I’ve been puttering my way through the Magic Box digital painting lessions with the Chris Oatley Academy. I haven’t gotten very far but I scored an opportunity to put some of the lessons to good use when Vita Gardens in Sarnia commissioned me to do a parody of Grant Wood’s American Gothic for their spring catalogue.
It was one of the most fun projects I’ve had in ages and inspired me to do the Mona Lulu for a friend’s birthday.
